APRIL 19, 2003 2) The Saudi Kayan official recognition ceremony on APRIL 19, 2003 was attended by Saudi Royalties, foreign dignitaries, European Union representatives and local and foreign elite businessmen that made the Saudi Kayan Mega project possible. On the Saudi Kayan celebration in Prince Bandar bin Mohammed Palace in Riyadh City, Plaques and Certificates were bestowed and awarded on the deserving personalities including Dr. Nader M. Obeid as shown on the pictures below:

In the year 2000, Dr Nader Obeid was approached by young local Saudi engineers that were former SABIC employees that have the expertise for setting up a petrochemical plant to be located in Jubail Industrial Area. Dr Nader Obeid put the road map and starts doing capital structuring for the project for an IPO offering. He advises to have the main investors to finance the basic engineering and appointed Cami Auditing as Financial advisors to close the IPO offering. Then, Dr. Obeid suggested the key investors from his personal groups to enter the IPO and put the initial funding of SAUDI RIYALS 3,200,000,000.00 OR SAR 3.2 BILLION
Dr Nader Obeid made sure that the dreams of these young engineers comes to reality further by having confirmed the critical gas supply allocation required by the Saudi Kayan mega project from Saudi Aramco. During the Saudi Kayan celebration, Engr. Tariq Al Abdul Hadi, one of the young engineers introduced by Dr. Nader M. Obeid to HH Prince Bandar gave a speech in the awarding ceremony thanking HH Prince Bandar Bin Mohammed Al Saud and his private advisor, Dr. Nader M. Obeid for the outstanding support for the mega project and making it materialized into a reality from an impossible dream.

In the end, Dr. Nader M. Obeid completed the organization of the most complex mega project that is Saudi Kayan from just a mere dream to a reality that was professionally and successfully executed from the ground and up.
In 2011, it started Commercial Production and annually producing 4.8 Million MT of different products such as Ethylene, Propylene, Ethanol Glycols, High Density Polyethylene, Low Density Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Acetone, Bisphenol-A, Polycarbonate, Ethanol Amines, Ethoxylates and Natural Detergent Alcohol.
Saudi Kayan now is a thriving business enterprise under SABIC Group of Companies of Saudi Arabia worth more than SAUDI RIYALS 15 BILLION.
